Foster to adopt for ABMR Mel.  This pretty 1-yr girl needs a patient yet active home!  She is very shy but also has loads of energy and loves to play.  Chuck-it is life!  She'll grab one and hold it in her mouth while her fosters play fetch with the other dogs in the home she's super happy to bounce and run alongside everyone.  There have not been any conflict with any other dogs with this girl!

Mel must have had some harsh treatment in her former life because she is extremely shy/fearful and it took her several weeks to come up and solicit pets from her fosters.  Overall, she is a very sweet girl, but she would not do well in a home where there are a lot of comings and goings from guests. 

Mel would be an amazing hiking/running companion who will be very happy to lay down at your feet after a fun day.  She has a very good off-switch in the house and is house/crate trained.  She sleeps through the night but is very excited to run out of her crate in the morning to the back yard.

Due to her shyness and anxiety a home without children is best for her and a physical fenced-in yard is a must.  No cats.  Mel will need a home with other dogs to play with.   Her new family must be very patient to allow her to come around in her own time.  She will be worth the wait!  PM Dana Mac for more information.
