ABMR  ABMR RIPPER is available to the perfect forever home! He is 3 years old! Rip is not quite a working dog, not quite a pet, but is absolutely an amazing dog! Ripper is one of those dogs that make everyone want a Malinois—but also the reason that inexperienced folks should not get a Malinois. He is a generally calm dog and needs structure, fair boundaries, and training to be his best. And that best is an amazingly sweet, smart, driven, athletic and social dog that would be a great candidate for just about anything or a loyal active companion for all of life’s adventures.

Ripper has that potential to be that once in a lifetime dog. He is loyal, loving, and wants to please his handler in every way.

Things to know about Ripper: He loves his toys, especially balls and will fetch as long as you can throw. He is very food driven and works for toys or treats. He is a total lap dog—all 60lbs of him! He has an amazing custom-made collar with “Ripper” on it that comes with him. Ripper is social with dogs and people and has traveled with his foster around the country. Ripper is crate and house trained and has basic obedience. He is biddable and learns exceptionally fast—so it’s important to teach him what you want him to know! He has an off-switch in the house that is dependent on the “on” switch being sufficiently utilized.

Other things about Ripper. He chewed up a fluffy toy, ears first and then ripped off it’s arms and legs and pulled out all the stuffing and squeaker. Kids not a good idea, he can be jumpy. He may try to take over if his family does not provide proper boundaries, but does not challenge them once they are established.

Ripper has been good with farm animals with supervision—chickens/goats/horses. He has pretty much ignored cats but has never been allowed to be free with them. He loves to play with other dogs. Ripper prefers a fenced in yard where he can be free to be a Malinois.

Ripper needs a forever family where he can get a lot of attention, stimulation, and training. If you feel Rip would be a great addition to your family, pleases PM Dana Mac kymalinoisrescue.org
